While it is great that carbon tax and trade is not being pursued, Congress should be reigning in the EPA, which has absurdly designated CO2 as a pollutant because it is a greenhouse gas. The primary greenhouse gas is water vapor. By the logic given, water vapor should be declared a pollutant also. Meanwhile, CO2 is excellent plant food and plants generate vital oxygen.

The scientific evidence is that the global warming of the late 20th Century was exaggerated by manipulations of the land surface temperature data and by purposely deleting the cooler measurement stations and retaining more low altitude and urban heat island stations. Man's CO2 emissions have a much shorter atmospheric residence time than claimed by the alarmists. The hot spot at 8 to 12 km altitude over the equation and the lower latitudes necessary for CO2 induced greenhouse gas warming is missing. The CO2 catastrophic warming hypothesis has proven to be scientifically untenable. Yet politicians such as Lindsey Graham are causing or allowing serious harm to our economy and the loss of many jobs in the name of this fiction.
